Forget the textbooks — you’ll build your first circuit the moment your kit arrives.
The program is designed to give you the skills you need to build and start designing your own electronic circuits — without unnecessary theory or abstract formulas.

The first week is all about understanding a few key concepts in electronics, perfect for beginners and a valuable review for those with some experience. You’ll build several circuits and gain hands-on experience.

In the second week, we’ll focus on Light-Emitting Diodes (LEDs) and capacitors. You’ll learn how to design your own LED circuits for various projects and understand how capacitors work to create behaviors like fading and blinking lights.

In the third week, you’ll learn to design basic transistor circuits and will delve into digital electronics, the basis of all modern electronics. This will enable you to design circuits that “make decisions” on what to do.

Your final week is both exciting and challenging. You’ll start by learning about the 555 timer, a versatile and widely used component in electronics that can create lots of different circuit functionality.

There’s one thing that people often wonder about when starting to learn electronics:
“Where will I get the components for the various projects?”
We’ve got you covered.
To ensure you hit the ground running, and make this really simple for you:
We’ll gather together all the components you need for this program.
Enroll today, and you should have the components in hand for when the course starts.
PS! If you already have components, or you just prefer to shop on your own, we provide a complete list of the components needed on request.
PPS! Kits are shipped from the US. Some countries will charge an import fee.
As you go through the program, you’ll have access to professional tutors that will help you with whatever you need help with through a support forum.
And there’s no such thing as a question that’s “too basic”! You’re starting from scratch, of course you’ll have questions that are basic. And we welcome these questions!
You’ll also be able to communicate with the other participants and see what they are up to (we love to do “show & tell” of student projects).
Here at Ohmify we’ve taught electronics to thousands of learners from all around the world trying things out, sharing successes, and collaborating on creating electronic gadgets.
Here’s what they have to say:
Get a solid understanding of electronics, and learn to build your own circuits with confidence. Join us for a journey where your investment in learning is secure and supported.
We’re confident you’re going to enjoy this course and your newfound skills. But if, for some reason, you’re not happy with the results you’re getting. Let us know within 30 days and we’ll refund you your money.

No. We do not explain things through math, but rather through a practical understanding of how it works. There are a couple of formulas that you’ll learn to use, but you don’t need to understand them, just plot them into a calculator to get the answer you need.
No. The lessons are released on Monday each week, but they are a mix of video, images, and written instructions that you can go through at your own pace on whatever day during the week that suits you.
Yes, absolutely. At Ohmify, we have members from 10 to over 80 years old with a wide variety of different backgrounds. You do not need any previous knowledge to join. This is an intensive course, but if you feel that you need a bit more time than the average Joe, you can either set aside more hours per week for the course, or decide to slow down the pace a bit.
Many of our members are interested in music-related circuits such as guitar pedals, synthesizers, and amplifiers.
The key to building these is to understand basic circuit diagrams and knowing how to build circuits (from simple to more complicated).
And the key to understanding these circuits is to have a good understanding of the fundamentals and how the different basic components in electronics work. Then from there study the individual circuits you are interested in.
After finishing this course, you’ll have a good foundation to start understanding and designing your own music-related circuits.
The kit includes all the components you need, except the standard household 9V battery needed to power the circuits. The kit does not include a multimeter mentioned in the course. A multimeter is a very useful tool to have, but it’s possible to do the course without one.
That’s not the focus of this course. But you’ll build a good understanding of electronics so that you’ll become better at finding circuit problems, which is crucial for repairing things.
Our warehouse is located in Nevada, in the United States. All kits are sent from this location. Kits usually arrive in less than a week in the US.
The course content is online only. You’ll have access to all the course materials and resources until the end of November. This means that although this is designed to be an intensive program that you finish in four weeks, you still have the option to switch to a sligthly slower pace, or even start the course a few weeks later, if you find that you prefer that.
