Project: Build an Overdrive Guitar Pedal

Course Overview:

I can’t think of a better way to get into building guitar pedals than an overdrive pedal. It’s really simple to make and it sounds awesome!

An overdrive guitar pedal is an effects pedal that simulates the natural distortion of an overdriven tube amplifier. It adds a warm, crunchy sound to the guitar, popular in blues and rock, and allows for dynamic sound at lower volumes.

In this course, I’ll walk you through how you can build your own.
