These terms apply when you buy from Ohmify or use ohmify.com: the courses, learning tracks, quizzes, the community, eBooks, component kits and gift cards. If something here is unclear, contact us and we’ll explain.

Who we are

Ohmify is run by Ohmify AS, a company registered in Norway (organisation number 920 694 071). You can reach us through the contact form, the support form or at support@ohmify.com.

Your account

• You get an account when you buy a membership or a course, or redeem a gift card, and we email you a link to set your password. Students in a school class get their login from their teacher.
• An account is for one person: don’t share your login or let others use your membership.
• Keep your email address up to date in your account, so you can log in and we can reach you.

What you buy

Memberships. A monthly or annual membership gives you every course, learning track and quiz on Ohmify and the community for as long as it is active. It renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. We email annual members a reminder a few days before each renewal.

Lifetime membership. A one-off payment for the same access as a membership, with no renewals.

Courses, intensives and eBooks. A one-off payment for what the product page lists, for example a course, a learning track, an eBook download, or community access for the course.

Component kits. Physical kits shipped to you (see Kits and shipping below).

Gift cards. A membership paid for by someone else (see Gift cards below).

Prices are in US dollars and shown on the page where you buy. Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.

Cancelling a membership

You can cancel any time with Manage billing on your account page. If you have an older subscription and don’t see that button, contact us and we’ll cancel it for you.

Your membership stays active until the end of the period you have paid for and then stops. There are no cancellation fees.

30-day money-back guarantee

If Ohmify isn’t for you, tell us within 30 days of your purchase and we’ll refund the full amount. No questions asked. Write to us through the support form or at support@ohmify.com.

The guarantee covers your first purchase of a membership, a lifetime membership, a course, an intensive or an eBook. A refund ends the access that the purchase gave.

Kits and shipping

• Kits ship from our fulfilment partner’s warehouse in the United States. Delivery usually takes about a week to most countries, but we can’t guarantee it.
• Your country may charge import duty or customs fees when the kit arrives. You pay these; they aren’t included in our price.
• If a kit arrives damaged, has parts missing or never arrives, contact us. We’ll send the missing parts or a new kit, or refund you if sending again doesn’t make sense.
• Make sure the shipping address is right. If a kit comes back because the address was wrong, we can send it again, but may ask you to pay the new shipping.

Gift cards

• A gift card gives the person who redeems it the membership it names, for example one year of Ohmify. If they are already a member, the gift card’s time is added after their current membership ends.
• Each code can be redeemed once. Keep it safe: anyone with the code can redeem it.
• The buyer can get a refund within 30 days of the purchase if the card hasn’t been redeemed. A refunded card can no longer be used.
• Gift cards can’t be exchanged for cash.

Using the courses and content

Everything on Ohmify (lessons, videos, text, schematics, quizzes, eBooks) is made by us and protected by copyright. Your purchase lets you use it for your own learning. You may:

• build every circuit and project, and use what you learn in your own projects, including commercial ones;
• print lessons and notes for your own use;
• show your projects and talk about the courses anywhere.

You may not copy, resell, republish or share the course material or videos with people who haven’t bought access. Teachers who want to use Ohmify with a class can ask us about school accounts.

The community

The community is where members help each other. To keep it friendly:

• Be kind and respectful. No harassment, hate speech or personal attacks.
• Stay on topic, and don’t spam or advertise without permission.
• Only post things you have the right to share, and never other people’s private information.
• Don’t post anything illegal or dangerous.

Our tutors moderate the community. We may edit or remove posts that break these rules, and suspend or close the account of anyone who keeps breaking them. If we close your account for this, we refund the part of a membership you have paid for and not used.

What you post stays yours. By posting, you let Ohmify show it on the site, keep it as part of the discussion, and use it to answer questions and improve our courses. If you delete your account, your posts stay so the discussions remain readable, but your name is removed from them.

Safety

Electronics projects involve tools, heat and electricity. Follow the safety instructions in the lessons, use batteries or low-voltage power supplies as the courses do, and never work on mains voltage unless you know exactly what you are doing. Adults should supervise children. You build at your own risk, and we are not responsible for damage or injury from a project.

If something goes wrong

We work hard to keep Ohmify running and the courses accurate, but we can’t promise the site is always available or free of errors. We are not responsible for indirect losses or for anything outside our reasonable control, and our total responsibility to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the problem.

Changes

Courses are updated, and sometimes replaced. We may also update these terms. If a change matters to you, we’ll email you before it takes effect. The date at the top shows when they last changed.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by Norwegian law. If we disagree about something, please contact us first: we’d much rather sort it out with you.
